I love experimenting with new materials. In 2018 - 2019, I experimented with sculpting in porcelain under the mentorship of my colleague, the exceptional artist and ceramist, Rich Freiwald. The resulting pieces, made intuitively at first, began to address questions about relationships and intimacy. They intrigue me because they have an element of humor and quirkiness that I don’t usually have in my work. I’m curious where they will lead, or if they might just be one of those things I do on the side “just because.”
